Seed Magazine
One of my graduate students directed me to this magazine after a conversation we had about displaying data for a variety of audiences.
Seed magazine describes itself: "This is an experiment in media, and yet an old cause in journalism. We have a world to explore and a story to tell you. The culture and constant innovation of science naturally inspires us to test and reinvent the ways we go about doing it."
The article Sarah was thinking of about visualizing data might have been this one.
